Bassgate is the latest project from DJ/producer Jonathan Wagner, and marks the culmination of the career of an ascending master at his craft.
A native of the New Orleans area, Jonathan’s appreciation of DJing as an artform began at an early age when his inability to stay upright on rollerskates had him hanging out in the DJ booth of the local roller rink. His father, a rock drummer, was a major musical influence, fostering a love of music that spanned genres from classic rock to R&B. This cross-pollination of musical traditions and instrumentation carried over into creating music—Jonathan played drums, guitar, keyboard and even violin, taught by his grandfather, who was the Concertmaster of the New Orleans Symphony.
New Orleans has proven fertile ground for countless legendary musical artists, and growing up near the city afforded Jonathan many opportunities to catch live performances of diverse styles of music. The uniting theme for Jonathan has always been an appreciation for music that moves people and celebrates life.
He began DJing as a hobby but quickly picked up professional gigs—even before he was of legal age to enter the club as a patron. He moved to northeast Florida, and before long he was playing nights at some of the Southeast’s biggest and hottest nightspots. Jonathan’s dossier of clubs and residencies reads like a “Who’s Who” of the nightclub scene. Quickly attaining proficiency at presiding over big-room clubs, he drew on his rich musical indoctrination to cross genres seamlessly, continuously invigorating the dance floors and giving clubgoers an experience like no other. Jonathan has has played along side, before, and after some of the game’s biggest talent, known for consistently bringing the party.
In 1998, Jonathan moved to Atlanta and rocketed through the ranks of the ATL nightlife scene. He held residences and played out at many of the city’s best clubs, including eleven50, Tongue & Groove, Cosmo/Lava, Paradox, Riviera, and The Living Room. He’s the creatorof the Ultraviolet Group, a promotions and event company responsible for starting some of the area’s longest-running parties. UVG’s Electric Lounge party hosted at Tongue & Groove helped put Thursdays at T&G on the map. Now Jonathan has taken his talents into the studio, where he continues to hone his craft. Bassgate is a voyage into a genre-smashingclub sound guaranteed to move you.
“I wanted to work with that sound that I like, that typifies the big club experience. The big dramatic tracks that move me.Good music is good music regardless of the genre.”, Jonathan states. Whether playing his own productions, other banging club tracks burning up the charts or a full Ableton Live performance, you can expect Bassgate to bring the party.
Never one to rest, Jonathan is also active in the studio with Jamal “Rory Breaker” Lasha producing remixes as the WundaTwinz—their most recent Jungle version of Jay-Z’s “Can I Get a…” was downloaded more than 200 times in its first week of being available online. This kind of attention does not go without notice, and the new Bassgate single “Big Shot” has been picked up by Kaleidoscope Records. When it comes to the Bassgate sound and Jonathan’s ascent through the nightclub scene—the sky is the limit.

Seasoned Atlanta house dj Heather Sharp has been a staple in the scene for over a decade, and has held multiple residencies throughout the city. She’s been booked alongside many of the biggest names in dance music such as Eric Kupper, Vickter Duplaix, and Tiesto, to name a few, by a host of Atlanta promoters and event organizers. She’s played marathon sets from grand openings for night clubs to ritzy corporate affairs.
Heather Sharp grew up in Chattanooga, TN, and moved down to Atlanta in her early twenties where she discovered house music. She soon learned the art of djing and has since mastered the craft, bringing people together to embrace the music. She can work the swanky vibes of upscale lounges and hotels to funk-fueled peak-hour sessions in both glitzy nightclubs and grimey underground hot spots. Always rooted in house music, Heather is able to diversify her performances and respond to any crowd. A quick glance over her career so far shows a great many weekly residencies held at as many different special events and one-off’s. Over the years she’s kept the party going for Atlanta’s most notorious locales including The Wine Loft, Halo, Sutra, Beleza, Luckie, and Filter (formerly The Mark), and recently had to resign a 5-year run at exotic Midtown lair Bazzaar when the establishment closed it’s doors late summer 2009.
Heather has done very well entertaining the corporate world as well, recently performing for events hosted by Mercedes Benz and Microsoft. The Atlantan Magazine (who did a piece on Heather during her time at Halo) and The W Hotel request her services often to entertain guests for their many exclusive events.
She currently maintains residencies at several locations around Atlanta including Enigma, Gold Room, W Hotel Downtown, as well as travels to Las Vegas for a monthly event.
